Funeral services for Mr. Harvey Dale Morgan, age 66 of Baxter, will be held Sunday May 24 at 3 p.m. in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with Rev. Dow Allen officiating. Interment will follow in Algood City Cemetery. Dale's family will receive friends Saturday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Dale died suddenly Wednesday evening May 20, 2015 from injuries he sustained in an automobile accident. He was born February 16, 1949 in Putnam County, Tennessee to the late James Allen and Minnie Lou Shaver Morgan. Dale was a truck driver with Fixture World and a member of Post Oak Shade Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Harlen Junior Morgan. Survivors include his wife, Janie Gunter Morgan; son, Travis (Sara) Morgan of Cookeville; two step-sons, Bobby Haney of TX and Jamie (Marilyn) Harris of Cookeville; granddaughter, Hunter Morgan, step-granddaughter, Willa Harris; two brothers, Hulon Carol (Wanda) Morgan and Johnny Merle (Diane) Morgan all of Cookeville; three sisters, Doris Marie (Edd) Goins of Lebanon, Reba Jewel (Harold) Gore of Algood, and twin, Linda Gail (Carl) Jackson of Cookeville; mother-in-law, Oma Jane Gunter; sister-in-law, Mildred Morgan both of Cookeville; several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Wayne and Lynn Gore, Jamie Harris, Jay Lyles, Jeremy, Casey, and Shane Morgan, and Mike Jared.
