David Carter

Funeral services for David Neil Carter, age 72 of Baxter, will be Monday, December 5 at 11 AM at Dyer Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. Chaplain Jim McAfee will officiate. Interment with military honors will be in Nash Cemetery in Putnam County. The family will receive friends Monday after 10 AM until service time at the funeral home.

David passed away Sunday evening November 27, 2022 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

He was born October 5, 1950 in Flint, Michigan to the late Cecil and Jean Youngblood Carter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Linda Pavelka and brother Billy Carter.

David was a retired Medic with the US Army with 21 years of service.

He attended St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church of Cookeville.

He is survived by his wife Karen Leverett Carter of Baxter, brother John Carter of Tucson, AZ.
