Dawn Marie Pippin, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Wednesday July 16, 2025 at Signature Health Care in Algood. Born on May 5, 1954, in Kitsap County, Washington, she lived a vibrant life that touched the hearts of many.
Dawn was known for her straightforward demeanor, often characterized by her introverted nature combined with a bold honesty that endeared her to friends and family. This genuine personality shone through in her roles both at home and in the community. Her culinary talents were recognized and celebrated when she started her own restaurant, The Cellar, in Cookeville, where she created memorable dining experiences that welcomed friends and family alike.
Dawn made contributions to the community in her professional life by working at Harris Drugs in Cookeville and Gentry Electronics in Gainesboro. Her work ethic and dedication stood as a testament to her character, demonstrating her commitment to her community.
Dawn's legacy lives on through her devoted husband of 52 years, Carl Pippin, their son Corey Lee Pippin (wife, Jieun), and daughters Crystal Pippin-Paez (husband, Javier) and Cassandra Meade (husband, James). She cherished her role as a mother and instilled values of perseverance and honesty in her children. Dawn delighted in her grandchildren - Leah Pfeiffer (husband, Calvin), Kara Bramblett (husband, Hunter), Ava Meade, Riley Meade, and Jett Meade - each of whom brought her immense joy. As a great-grandmother, she embraced her two great-grandchildren, RJ and Evangeline Pfeiffer, along with Matthew Kaine and Owen Nash Bramblett.
Dawn is preceded in death by her parents, Othel James Beaty and Concetta Peliretto Beaty, who shaped her early years and values. Though she has departed from this world, the love she shared and the fond memories created will continue to inspire those she left behind.
As we remember Dawn Marie Pippin, we celebrate a life dedicated to family, integrity, and the joys of cooking and reading. She will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
