DYER CHAPEL-Dean Allan Osing, age 80, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, Navy veteran, and dedicated healthcare professional, passed away at his home in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, on Thursday, April 9, 2026. Born on July 17, 1945, in Canton, Illinois, Dean lived a life marked by service, faith, and family.

Dean proudly served his country as a Navy veteran during the Vietnam Era, demonstrating his commitment and courage during a challenging time. After his military service, he devoted his career to caring for others at the VA Hospital in Nashville, where his dedication and compassion left a lasting impact on countless veterans and their families.

Faith was a cornerstone of Dean's life, and he cherished his Inter Non Denominational beliefs, finding comfort and strength in his spirituality throughout his years. Those who knew him will remember his steadfast faith and the peace it brought him.

Dean is survived by his beloved wife, Toni Tribble Osing of Murfreesboro, TN, who stood by his side through the years. He is also deeply missed by his son Scott Allan Osing and wife Leslie of LaVergne, TN, and his daughter Angela Osing Foster and husband Charles Rickie Foster of Chattanooga, TN. Dean took great pride in his role as a grandfather to four cherished grandchildren: Drew Davis of Nashville, Sydney Davis of Brentwood, Zachary Osing of Nashville, and Coby Osing of Murfreesboro. He is also survived by his brother, Dale Osing of Havana, Illinois.

Dean was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick Herman Henry Osing and Lucille Charlotta Anna Vanderveen Osing, and his sister-in-law, Mardelle Osing, whose memories he held dear.

A graveside service and interment to honor Dean's life will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, beginning at 4:00 p.m. at Double Springs Cemetery, located on Plunk Whitson Road in Cookeville, Tennessee. Bro. Loyd Mabry will officiate. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

His grandsons will serve as pallbearers

Dean's journey was one of dedication—to his country, to his community, and above all, to his family. His memory will endure in the hearts of those who loved him, a testament to a life of honor, faith, and unwavering love.
