Donald Ray Campbell

COOKEVILLE CHAPEL-Donald Ray Campbell, born on September 18, 1943, in Cookeville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully in his hometown on Wednesday, November 13, 2024. He was a beloved member of the community and a cherished family man.

Donald was known to many as a skilled handyman, affectionately earning the title of "Mr. Fix It." His expertise with tools and a remarkable ability to mend just about anything endeared him to friends and neighbors alike. Beyond his practical skills, Donald was deeply committed to his faith as a member of the Church of Christ, finding both solace and strength within his church community.

He leaves behind a loving family who will remember him fondly. His wife, Patricia "Patsy" England Campbell, stood by his side through thick and thin, and their bond was a testament to enduring love. His son, Eddie Campbell, and daughter, Gina (Ken) Hollows, graciously carry his legacy forward along with their own families. Donald was the proud grandfather of five grandchildren: Savannah, Micah, Brody, Elaina, and Sawyer, and a great-grandfather to Cade and Ava. Each of them will forever treasure the memories created with him, from playful afternoons to wise counsel.

Donald is also survived by his brothers, Timothy Campbell of Kentucky and Ronald Campbell of Cookeville, who shared many life experiences and cherished moments with him over the years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Morgan and Pearl Maynard Campbell, his son, Michael Alan Campbell, and his sister, Joyce Robinson. Their absence is deeply felt, yet Donald's love, lessons, and spirit will continue to resonate within his family.

The family will have a private burial at a later date at Crest Lawn Cemetery.

As we reflect on the life of Donald Ray Campbell, we celebrate a man who was not only a handyman but also a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His kind heart and unwavering support will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
