Donald Gaumont

COOKEVILLE CHAPEL - Donald Gaumont, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on December 12, 2024, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville. He was born on September 12, 1949, in the Bronx, New York. He lived a life marked by dedication, service, and a deep commitment to his family.

Donald was a proud graduate of Tennessee Tech University, which laid a strong foundation for his career at the Post Office, where he diligently served until his retirement. His work ethic and sense of responsibility were evident to all who knew him.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Donald proudly served two times in the United States Navy. His commitment to his country was a testament to his character and instilled in him the values of duty and honor.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Linda Bowling Gaumont, and their loving children: daughter Heather (Charlie) Spicer, and sons Chris (Michelle) Gaumont and Brandon (Wendy) Gaumont. With a legacy that extends further, Donald cherished his 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, with another great-grandchild on the way. Each of them was a source of immense joy in his life, and he treasured every moment shared with them.

Donald is preceded in death by his parents, Albert Donald and Marie A. Courtney Gaumont; his brother, Albert Gaumont; his grandson, Cody Thompson; and his great-grandson, Grayson Spicer. Their memories will forever hold a special place in the hearts of his family.

Donald Gaumont will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering support of his family and friends. His legacy of love and dedication will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Rickman Bible Baptist.
