COOKEVILLE-Funeral services for Mr. Douglas Brammer Conley, age 87 will be held Tuesday, August 30th at 11:00 a.m. at the Cookeville chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in West Cemetery (West Cemetery Road, Cookeville). His family will receive friends Tuesday morning from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Mr. Conley died Thursday August 25, 2022. He was born May 30, 1935 in Andrews, NC to the late Frank Tate Conley, Sr. and Alberta Novella McCullough Conley. He was a graduate of Andrews High School. His served in the US Army from 1954-57 and was a Korean War Veteran. He was employed as a superintendent with Hammerwill Hardwoods and with Budget Sales for 16 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Isabell Clouse Conley; sisters, Rena Walden, Geraldine Roper, June McGee and Frances Baxter; and by brothers, Frank Conley, David Conley and Austin Conley. He is survived by daughters, Debbie (George) Deskins of Murfreesboro, TN, Kimberly (Mark) Shoop of Readyvillle, TN and Sharon Deskins of Gainesville, FL; sons, Doug (Thong) Conley of Murfreesboro and Daniel (Denise) Conley of Navarre, FL; grandchildren, Stephanie Snyder, Jessica Deskins, Michael Conley, Laryne Conley, Christopher Conley, Mary McCloud, Braxton Shoop, Amy Deskins, Megan Conley and Rebecca Conley; sixteen great grandchildren; and by sisters, Sara (Larry) Webster and Alice (Jay) Stewart, all of Robinsville, NC. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers are suggested to be made to Cookeville Rescue Mission, 1331 S Jefferson Ave, Cookeville, TN 38506.
