Flossie C. Northcutt borned to the late George and Virgie Mary Roberts, passed away peacefully at the age of 85 surrounded by the love of her family. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose vibrant spirit brought joy to everyone who knew her.
Flossie is survived by two sisters Shirley Chance and Rena Hoffman. Her three daughters, Sonya (Todd) Sullivan, Kimberly (John) Tubb, and Christina (Johnathan) Whitlock. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Brandon (Crystal) Bean, Brittany (Ken) Tucker, Kendrick Bean, Dustin (Vanessa) Whitlock, Blaire (Jerome) Burrus, Sierra (Matthew) Butler, Ethan (Kelsie) Bean, Aubree (Phillip) Rhodes, Ryan Bean, Avery Whitlock, and Payton (Alicia) Whitlock. She also leaves behind 27 cherished great-grandchildren who brought her endless joy and many nieces and nephews.
Known affectionately as “Feisty Flossie" and Nanny she was the life of every party—always laughing, joking, and cutting up. She absolutely loved her jewelry, being dressed to the nines, and never went a day without her makeup—with her eyebrows being the main event. The news was always on loud, and she proudly served as the family’s unofficial news anchor. She was always activating the family phone chain and would call you on Messenger until you picked up.
She was a Christian and lived a full, colorful life that reflected her strong spirit and deep love for those around her.
A graveside service honoring Flossie will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday July 13 at Smith Chapel Cemetery.
Her memory will forever shine in the hearts of her loved ones.
