Funeral services for Mr. Frankie (Frank) Alton Carter, age 64, of Cookeville, will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, October 29 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home with Bro. Jeremiah Tatum officiating. Interment will follow at Crest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friend Saturday from 5 - 8 p.m. and again Sunday from 2 p.m. until service time. Mr. Carter passed away suddenly, Wednesday October 25, 2017 at his home. He was born September 20, 1953 in Nashville, TN to the late Bobby Houston and Carleen West Carter. Mr. Carter was retired from the former Ford Glass plant in Nashville with over 30 years of service. He befriended anyone he met and enjoyed helping people. He is survived by his wife, Joan Reagan Carter; three daughters and sons-in-law, Beth and Mike Dodgen of Sparta, Jan and Brent Anderson of Cookeville, Hannah and Brian Colson of Harrison, TN; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Kim Carter of Mt Juliet, TN; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Vicki and Jimmy Estes of Donelson, TN, Jill and Steve Vales of Old Hickory, TN; and six grandchildren, Gracie and Addison Dodgen, Macy, Ella, and Jase Anderson, and Scarlett Colson.
