Fred Lee Black, Jr.,of Cookeville, TN, a dear family man and respected technician, passed away on July 7, 2024, at the age of 74. Born on March 23, 1950, in West Virginia, Fred's journey brought him to Tennessee, where he established a legacy of kindness and professionalism.
Fred devoted many years to the state as a diligent technician with the Department of Health and was also a proud member of the National Guard. His commitment to service was matched only by his love for family. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Ronda Moore; his son, Ben Black; his sister, Ann Ellison; his brother, Steve Black; and several cherished cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Frances Slater Black.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Respecting his wishes, Fred will be cremated and laid to rest in Clarksville at a private ceremony. His warmth and dedication to serving others will be an enduring memory in the hearts of many.
