Gaynell Sachse

COOKEVILLE CHAPEL - Gaynell Sachse, age 79, of Cookeville, TN passed away at Vanderbilt University Medical Center on Saturday October 17, 2026.

Gaynell was born the only child of Grady and Zerline Anderson of Texas. She lived most of her life in Texas, was educated there and married the love of her life, Colonel David Sachse, to whom she was married 45 years.

When Gaynell retired from Raytheon, she and David moved to Cookeville, TN to spend their "Golden Years" near long term friends of 50 years, Willard and Carolyn Cummings. They bought a few acres of land and built their home where they lived out their remaining years.

Gaynell was an active member of Cookeville First United Methodist Church where she enjoyed a close fellowship with her church family and members of the Back Sliders Class.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, David Sachse.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
