Gearldine Roach

Funeral services for Mrs. Gearldine Roach, age 89 of Algood will be held Saturday October 13 at 11 a.m. in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Whitson officiating. Interment will follow in Paran Cemetery. Her family will receive friends Friday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. until service time at Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Mrs. Roach died Thursday morning October 11, 2018 in Bethesda Health Care Center. Gearldine was born September 23, 1929 in Overton County , TN to the late Edgar Lee and Vallie Harp Ashburn. Gearldine was a 1949 graduate of Rickman High School; a 60-year member of Paran Church; and a retired Associate of Wilson Sporting Goods with 36 years of service. In addition to her parents, was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Paul Roach; brother, William Ashburn, and nephew, Donny Ashburn. Survivors include her sister, Emogene Ashburn of Algood; brother, Fred (Carol) Ashburn of Livingston, TN; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
