DYER CHAPEL-Geneva Jewell Hogue, born on July 5, 1929, in Putnam County, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville, Tennessee at the age of 96. She was a beloved figure in her community and a dedicated healthcare professional who served as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Masters Healthcare Center (now Signature Healthcare) for an impressive 34 years.

Geneva's life was characterized by her deep sense of compassion and unwavering love for her family and friends. She was a devoted mother to her children, Roger Dale (Gayle) Hogue of Baxter, Jeraldine (Steve) Maxwell of Baxter, and Debra Dailey of Crossville. She was immensely proud of her 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and a host of great-great-grandchildren, all of whom she cherished deeply.

Throughout her life, Geneva found joy in simple pleasures. She had a passion for word search puzzles and enjoyed crocheting. Her warm spirit and loving nature made her beloved by all who knew her, and she was known for returning that love to everyone around her.

Geneva's faith played a significant role in her life, and she attended Bussell Church of Christ, where her community of faith provided her with both comfort and strength throughout her years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Morgan Eli and Velma Mae West Phy, her husband John Robert Hogue, who passed on March 30, 1999, and her beloved children, Robert Deloye Hogue, Brenda Gail Gansen, and Jeffrey Allen Hogue.

Geneva's visitation will be held on Monday, January 5, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM, both held at Dyer Chapel, located at 798 South Willow Avenue, Cookeville, TN 38501.Bro. Clarence DeLoach will officiate.  Interment will follow in Browns Mill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be John Ross Meadows, Eli Dodson, Cleadus Bumbalough, Cody Bumbalough, Jacob Hogue, Rodney Hogue and Kimberly Hogue.

Her legacy of kindness, love, and dedication to her profession and family will forever be remembered in the hearts of those she touched.
