BAXTER CHAPEL - Glenda Sue Palk, 82 of the Double Springs Community of Putnam County, was born May 12, 1943 in Jackson County, Tennessee and died Wednesday, December 24, 2025 at her home at the age of 82.

She was a 1961 graduate of Upperman High School in Baxter and attended business school in Nashville.

Glenda retired as a supervisor with Teledyne Stillman of Cookeville and Dana Corporation of Gordonsville, TN.

She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Glenda leaves behind a sister-in-law Judy Hargis, nieces Julie (Donnie) Hawkins, LeAnn (Mike) Bouldin, Patricia (Bobby) Julian, Jana Hargis, Nicole Hawkins, Chelsey (Tyler) Seiber, Rachell Hargis and Ellinda Tucker, nephews Earl Flatt, Blake (Ashley) Phillips, Derek Hargis, Jeff Flatt, Larry (Kim) Spurlock and a host of great and great great nieces and nephews. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

Glenda was preceded in death by parents Lloyd Abraham and Ruby Lee Burton Hargis, sisters Linda Faye Spurlock and Mary Frances Tucker, brothers Lloyd Richard "Buddy" Hargis and Wayne Earl Hargis, 2 nephews and 1 niece.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
