COOKEVILLE CHAPEL - Glynn Goolsby, a hardworking and energetic individual, passed away unexpectedly on Monday September 15, 2025, at his residence in Cookeville, Tennessee. Born on October 3, 1959, in Jackson County, Tennessee, Glynn dedicated himself to a fulfilling career in maintenance at Meadows Properties, where he was well-known for his unwavering commitment and can-do spirit.
A beloved father, Glynn leaves behind his cherished daughters: Jessica McQuillin (Brad), Samantha Goolsby, and Sharron Walden (Terry); as well as his sons, Glynn Goolsby (Patience) and Bradley Goolsby. He was proud of his role as a grandfather to his grandchildren: Madison, Mayson, Easton, Samuel, Jessie "Bubs," Kylie, Kolton, Mackinzie, and Jackson. His family held a special place in his heart, and he would do anything for them, demonstrating the depth of his love through his actions.
Glynn is also survived by his dear sisters, Brenda Maddox (Don) and Karen Mashburn (Carl), along with several nieces and nephews who were fortunate to know his kindness and generosity.
He was known for his passion for horses and shared a special bond with his dog, Max, both of which brought him joy and companionship. He cherished getting together with his family, whom he loved dearly. He had a great love for the outdoors. Glynn's loyalty and support as a friend were unwavering, making him a confidant and a source of strength to those around him.
Glynn was preceded in death by his parents, Alford Leland Goolsby and Minnie Mae Goolsby, and his sister, Debbie Goolsby. Their memories continue to resonate in the hearts of his family and friends, who are left to cherish Glynn’s legacy of love and friendship.
Celebration of Life for Glynn will be scheduled at a later date. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, as he leaves a remarkable imprint on their lives through his hard work, vibrant personality, and unwavering dedication to those he loved.
