COOKEVILLE CHAPEL - Greg Jackson, a man deeply rooted in integrity, hard work, and devotion to family and faith, passed away on Tuesday April 28, 2026. Born on September 10, 1962, in Chicago, Illinois, Greg's life journey was marked by dedication and a strong work ethic that left a lasting impression on those who knew him.

Greg's professional career included work as an extrusion operator for Mohawk Alladin in Chatsworth, where his commitment to excellence and determination were evident. Even after retirement, Greg’s passion for his craft endured as he continued working at Above and Beyond RV Repair, exemplifying the old-fashioned values of diligence and perseverance he held dear. A man of honesty and integrity, Greg was known for his straightforward nature; what you saw was what you got.

In 2006, Greg relocated to Cookeville, Tennessee, embracing his new community with open arms. He was a man of God and lived a life guided by faith and principle. Those who knew Greg remember him not only for his tireless work ethic but for his soft heart and generosity-he always made time to help others, a memory fondly cherished by friends and family alike.

Greg’s talents extended beyond the workplace. He took immense pride in building, fixing, and creating, having constructed an entire homestead with his own hands-a testament to his remarkable skill and dedication. He adored his grandchildren, delighting in spending quality time with them, sharing his knowledge, and nurturing their curiosity. His love for the outdoors was evident in his enjoyment of camping and the simple pleasures of nature.

He is survived by his beloved family, his son, Caleb Jackson and wife Tamara; his daughter, Marlissa McGill and husband Jason; and his cherished grandchildren Joy McGill, Landon McGill, Ashton Jackson, Audrey Jackson, Hezekiah Jackson, and Dominic Payne. Greg also leaves behind his brothers Gary Jackson and wife Sharon, and Hank Jackson and wife Sonya. Special friends who stood alongside him through the years include Billy Joe Rouse and Richard and Sherry Whitehead.

Greg was preceded in death by h parents, Jimmy and Barbara Tarvin Jackson, whose legacy he carried forward in every aspect of his life.

His family will receive friends Saturday May 9, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Cookeville Chapel located at 59 N Jefferson Avenue, Cookeville, TN 38501. Following the visitation, a time of sharing will begin at 1:00 p.m., to celebrate Greg’s life and the enduring impact he had on those around him.
