COOKEVILLE CHAPEL - Helen White, born on January 12, 1942, in White County, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 2, 2025. As a devoted member of the Cookeville Free Will Baptist Church, Helen’s life was characterized by her commitment to her faith, her family, and her community.
Throughout her career, she worked diligently as a factory worker and later provided personal ironing services in her later years. Helen’s work ethic and dedication to her responsibilities were truly exemplary, embodying the values of hard work and perseverance that many admired.
Helen received her early education at Peeled Chestnut School in White County, where she laid the foundation for a lifelong journey of learning and engagement in her community. She also attended Capshaw when moving to Cookeville. Her passions extended beyond her work; she cherished attending Church and supporting local ballgames, especially watching the Monterey Wildcats. She played basketball at Peeled Chestnut. These activities brought her joy and connected her to friends and loved ones.
Helen was a loving mother to her daughter, Robbie (Randall) Phillips, and took great pride in being a Mimi.
She is also survived by her beloved sister, Brenda Allen Ferrell of Cookeville, along with cherished sister-in-laws, Betty Howard, Faye White, and Juanita White. She is survived by her grandchildren Tucker Phillips, Niki (Aaron) Norvell, great grandchildren - Kylie, Addison and Will Norvell. Helen's extended family includes many nieces and nephews who will remember her with love and fondness.
Helen was preceded in death by her dad, Martin Allen and mom, Vera Conley Whilhite, her devoted husband, Robert "Bob" White, and her brother, Ronnie Allen. Their memory continues to live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 3 PM at Cookeville Free Will Baptist Church with Randall and Tucker Phillips officiating.
Interment will follow at Cookeville City Cemetery with Holly Ferrell, Braedin Jared, Ronnie Allen, Jr., Garrett Hastings, Andrew Allen and Kason Grissom serving as pallbearers.
Helen White will be remembered not only for her kindness and generosity but also for the deep love she held for her family and community. Her legacy of faith and commitment to others will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
