Homer Key

COOKEVILLE CHAPEL - Funeral services for Mr. Homer Key, 79 of Florence, Texas will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, November 18th at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Sand Springs Cemetery. Bro. Tony Phipps will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday 5-7 p.m. and again Sunday from 12 noon until service time at the funeral home. 

Mr. Key died Tuesday November 13, 2018 in Indian Oaks Assisted Living in Harker Heights, TX.  He was born October 23, 1939 in Livingston, TN to the late Cecil and Linnie Ray Key.

Homer worked as a painter while living in Tennessee and also after moving to Texas over 20 years ago.  He was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three infant children and his sister, Ann Colton.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Nola O. Key; brothers, Charles Key of Algood and Claude Key of Texas; son, Vernon Stanley Key,  TX, daughter, Vivian Ann Key, Sparta, TN.
