Jack was born in Algood, Tennessee, on May 23, 1939, and he graced our lives with his presence until January 2, 2026, when he departed from this world at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro, surrounded by warmth and love.

A proud graduate of the former Algood High School Class of 1959, Jack went on to work as a dedicated machine operator for Aladdin Industries in Nashville. His work ethic was matched only by his generous spirit. Throughout his life, Jack was known for his kindness, humor, and selflessness—traits that endeared him to everyone he met.

Jack proudly served in the United States Army, a commitment that speaks to his character and sense of duty. After returning to civilian life, he continued to embody what it meant to be an exemplary member of society, forming connections that would last a lifetime.

A lifelong fan of Waffle House restaurants, Jack made it a point to frequent various locations where he delighted in the company of friends and cherished moments. The employees at these restaurants knew him well, welcoming him as part of their family, for Jack had a unique gift for turning every encounter into a memorable experience filled with laughter and camaraderie.

He leaves behind a loving family who will carry on his legacy of generosity and joy. Jack is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Wayne Clemons; his sister, Ruth Veitenheimer; his granddaughter, Olivia Lauper; step-grandsons, Nick and J.R. Clemons; step-great-grandchildren, Odin and Elora Clemons; numerous nieces and nephews; and his loyal dog, Lenny, who was always by his side.

In a life that was full of love, Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Tim Robinson and Sadie Swift Robinson; his son, Jack Burton Robinson, Jr.; his sisters, Helen Porkka and Nelle Cooper; and his brothers, Alfred Robinson, Charles Robinson, Paul Robinson, Fred Robinson, William Robinson, Henry (Hinkie) Robinson, and John Thomas Robinson.
