Jackie Robinson

A memorial service for Mr. Jackie Dale Robinson, age 70 of Sparta, will be held Sunday, April 14th at 2pm at Fairview Church of Christ in Cookeville. Bro. Teston Gilpatrick will officiate. Jackie passed away Thursday, April 11th at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born April 21, 1948 in Putnam County, TN. He served as a member of the United States Army and was employed as a truck driver. In addition to his mother, Rose Martin Robinson and step father, Thurman Robinson, he was preceded in death by brother, Ricky Robinson and sister, Patty Tollett. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Barbara Gail Robinson; sons, Roger (Melissa) Robinson of Sparta and Ronnie (Stephanie) Robinson of Memphis; daughter, Michelle (Brenton) Cooper of Sparta; grandchildren, Austin (Bethany) Robinson, Jordan Carson, Sydney Robinson and Jackson Carson; and by sister, Peggy (Guy) Graham of Sparta.
