Janice Robinson

COOKEVILLE CHAPEL - Janice Robinson was born on December 7, 1939 in Overton County, TN and passed away at NHC of Cookeville on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at the age of 86.

Janice was the daughter of the late Lewis Mabrey and Clura Mabrey Hawkins. She was a member of Sycamore Church of Christ.

She is survived by her husband, CD Robinson, whom she married on February 22, 1957; her son, Steven (Elaine) Robinson of Fort Worth, TX; her daughter, Karen Shatley of Indianapolis, IN; 3 grandchildren, Sean (Allison) Robinson of Keller, TX, Shannon (Rico) Rubio of Roseville, MI and Brittany (John) Concannon of Indianapolis, IN; 2 great-grandchildren, Benjamin Robinson of Keller, TX and Luca Rubio of Roseville, MI; 1 brother, Ray (Janie) Mabrey of Livingston, TN; 1 niece, Andrea (Josh) Thompson; and a host of nieces and nephews along with other family members and many friends.

In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by her nephew, Matthew Mabrey.

A Funeral Service will be held for Mrs. Robinson at 11 AM, Friday, February 27, 2026 from the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper, Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with Clarence DeLoach officiating.

Interment will follow at Poplar Springs Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4-8 PM and again on Friday from 10 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.

The family request memorial contributions be made to Poplar Springs Cemetery.
