COOKEVILLE CHAPEL - Jeff Sharp, a respected professional in the mechanical engineering field, passed away on June 10, 2026, in Cookeville, Tennessee at the age of 59. Born on July 28, 1966, in Pulaski, Tennessee, Jeff’s lifetime was marked by dedication to his work, his family, and his community.

Jeff attended schools in Pulaski and Columbia, Tennessee, completing his high school education before pursuing higher education. He earned a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Memphis, a foundation that supported his extensive career. Jeff worked many years at Fleetguard/Cummins, now Atmus, and served as the Director of Quality and Infrastructure, where he was known for his commitment to excellence and leadership.

Outside of his professional life, Jeff was a man of faith and community. He was a member of the Church of Christ at Colonial Heights. His personality was warm and engaging, shaped by his interests and hobbies which included pickleball, disc golf, video games, following University of Tennessee football, working out, and most cherished of all, spending time with his grandchildren.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Rhonda Nicholson Sharp of Cookeville; their son, Colton Sharp, and daughter-in-law Kristina of Murfreesboro; their daughter, Kaylee Cook, and son-in-law Brian of New Market, Alabama; his brother, David Sharp of Oakland, Tennessee; and his grandchildren Mason, Everett, and Charlie. Jeff was also blessed with many friends who will remember his kindness and generosity.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ruth Bass Sharp, who undoubtedly played a guiding role in his life.

Jeff Sharp's legacy is one of steadfast dedication-to his family, his faith, and his career. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory and the impact of his life’s work will endure.
