Jeffery Lynn Hunter

Graveside services and interment for Jeffery Lynn Hunter, age 38 of Cookeville, will be at 11 a.m. Friday September 4 at Algood City Cemetery. Pastor Mark Gaw will officiate. Jeffrey passed away suddenly Saturday August 30, 2020 at his home. He was born July 17, 1982 in Cookeville to Patricia Steward Hunter of Cookeville and the late Bruce Hunter. Jeffrey graduated from Cookeville High School in 2001. He formerly worked in food service at Tennessee Tech University. He attended Washington Avenue Baptist Church. In addition to his mother, he is survived by two brothers, Scottie and Brandon Hunter both of Cookeville; uncles, Jeff (Pam) Hunter of Cookeville, Tommy Steward of Baxter, and Howard Steward of Cookeville; great aunt and uncle, JoAnn Hunter, Frank (Jean) Gregory all of Cookeville. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Otis and Betty Hunter; and paternal great-grandmother, Flossie York. Dyer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
