Jennifer Willis

COOKEVILLE CHAPEL-Jennifer Renee Willis passed away on Tuesday October 13, 2026, at the age of 44. Born on June 12, 1982, Jennifer lived a life rooted in faith, devotion, and deep love for her family.

Jennifer was a 2000 graduate of Upperman High School and later completed her degree from the Louisiana School of Ministry. Her calling led her into ministry, where she became an ordained minister. She served as Director of Next Step ministry in Cookeville. She was also a member of The Bend Church, where her faith and commitment to others were part of the way she lived each day.

She will be remembered as strong willed, wise and discerning, and beautiful on the inside and out. Jennifer was a fierce follower of Jesus and a disciple whose life reflected the convictions she held close. She found joy in simple and meaningful moments, especially being outside with her family, bike riding, sitting around a campfire, and walking together. Of all the blessings in her life, her family was her proudest accomplishment.

Jennifer is survived by her husband, Elijah Willis, and by her children, Isabelle Bailey, Noah Bailey, Roman Willis, Roselyn Willis, and Wyatt Willis. She is also survived by her sister, Lesha Henley; her brother, Nik (Briauna) Herren, her parents, John Herren and Tina Anderson Herren, along with special friends, Dave and Dianne Roland, Sarah Wilson, Tenley Sells along with spiritual parents, Pastor Shane Warren and Pam Warren and Bother Andy Jenkins and Christy Jenkins.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Floyd Herren and Belle Herren.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation with the family on Saturday October 17, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at The Bend Church, 575 B South Jefferson Ave, Cookeville, TN 38501. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the church. Pastor Shane Warren will officiate. Private family interment will follow at Smellage Memory Garden.
