DYER CHAPEL - Jerry Lee Blair, born on April 18, 1960, in Sebring, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at Grandview Post Acute Care in Cookeville, Tennessee at the age of 66. Jerry’s journey through life was characterized by steadfast dedication, kindness toward his loved ones, and a powerful work ethic that will remain an inspiration to those who knew him.

Jerry’s roots began in Ohio, but his true legacy unfolded across the years he spent in Tennessee, where he found both his calling and his lifelong home. For many years, Jerry dedicated himself to a rewarding career in construction with Highways, Inc. The roads and foundations he helped build are a lasting testament to his perseverance and commitment to his work. His craftsmanship and diligence left an imprint that will outlast generations, embodying his sense of responsibility and pride in every task he took on.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Jerry was known for his love for life’s simple pleasures and his devotion to family. He excelled at living in the moment, especially when it meant spending treasured time with his grandchildren, whose laughter and curiosity brought him joy. Jerry cherished every opportunity to pass on wisdom, share a laugh, and create special bonds with the next generations of his family.

An outdoorsman at heart, Jerry found joy and excitement in activities such as fishing and riding motorcycles, pursuits that allowed him to connect with the beauty and freedom of the open world around him. He also had a gifted hand for mechanic work, always ready with a tool and a helping hand for friends and family in need. Whether he was tinkering in the garage or listening to music while riding backroads, Jerry’s appreciation for the quieter, meaningful moments of life never went unnoticed.

Throughout his life, Jerry was surrounded by a loving family who supported and cherished him. He is survived by his beloved children-his son Nathan Blair, and his daughters Jenifer Blair Bennett, Amber Blair, and Brittany Blair. Jerry’s legacy shines brightly in his grandchildren: Tyler Gentile, Kylie Sprout, Kennedy Sprout, Chloe Blair, Colton Blair, and Lucas Blair, as well as his great-granddaughter, Sophia Gentile.

Jerry was preceded in death by his father, James Madison Woodburn; his long-time girlfriend, Crystal Bumpus; his mother, Winfred Blair and his brothers, Tom Woodburn and Pete Woodburn. Their memories and influences were ever-present in Jerry’s life.

Funeral services for Mr. Blair will be held Friday, July 3, 2026 at 2:00 pm in the Dyer Chapel of Hooper, Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home (798 South Willow Avenue, Cookeville, TN).

Interment will follow in the Cookeville City Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
