Funeral services for Jimmie Carlen Allison, 88 of Baxter, will be Friday, March 10 at 1 PM at the Dyer Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Boiling Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 4 to 8 PM and after 11 AM Friday until service time at the funeral home. Bro. Johnny Fox will officiate.
Mr. Allison died Monday, March 6, 2023 at the home of his daughter.
He was born October 11, 1934 in Putnam County to the late William Herbert and Maggie Virginia Sullivan Allison.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Stevie Allison; sisters, Margaret Maxwell, Dimple Howell, Dorothy Nell Hargis, Marie Davis; brothers, Hollis, Wallace, Johnny V., Bill and Ralph Allison.
He retired from McCord's of Cookeville in maintenance. He enjoyed caring for and riding horses and also was a farmer.
Survivors include daughters, Marilyn (Dale) Goff of Baxter, Judy Jackson Fuson of Sparta; mother of his children, Maggie Willene Allison of Cookeville; grandchildren: Brad Jackson, Shira Jackson, Shala Jackson (Josh) Norris, Wesley Goff, Cassey ( Marshall) Parris, Richard Fuson; great-grandchildren: Matthew Jackson, Morgan Jackson, Lexy Jackson, Daylon Jackson, Chloe Garrett, Jacob Parris, Kilee Parris, Mason and Landon Fuson, Aerianna Fuson; great-great-grandchildren: Tennlee, Gannon, Tayson Hale, Rowan Jackson and Eliza Thomas.
Family will serve as pallbearers.
