COOKEVILLE - Jimmie Arlanda Lambert, beloved husband, father, stepfather, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2026, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville. He was born April 12, 1941, in Mississippi, and his long and full life was a testament to dedication, family, and the simple joys he cherished.
Jimmie’s roots began in the warmth of Mississippi, nurtured by his parents, William Lambert and Opal Lambert, both of whom preceded him in death. Over the years, he became the steady cornerstone of his own family, building a life marked by steadfast love, quiet strength, and generosity.
Jimmie is survived by his devoted wife, Linda Heidle Lambert, who stood faithfully by his side through life’s highs and lows. His legacy continues through his children: Patricia (Brian) Clouse, Cathy Renouf, and Sherrie Lambert, each of whom carries forward elements of his character and spirit. He also shared a meaningful bond with his step-daughter, April Jackson, embracing her as part of his family.
As a loving grandfather, Jimmie was proud of Jessica Honning, Anthony Lambert, Amanda Carter, Christopher Suitor, and Brandon Suitor.
Jimmie lived a life enriched by his passions. He found great enjoyment in shooting guns, a hobby that connected him with friends and brought him peace and satisfaction. Fishing was another of his interests from the past—a pastime that offered him moments of quiet reflection amidst nature’s beauty.
His loss is deeply felt by all who knew him, but his memory will continue to inspire and comfort those who loved him. Jimmie’s presence was a source of stability and warmth, his story one of enduring care for the people in his life.
His wishes for cremation are being honored and no services are scheduled at this time.
