Johnny Odell Jackson

COOKEVILLE- Johnny Odell Jackson, a lifelong member of the Brotherton Mountain community in Putnam County, was born on May 15, 1950, in Monterey, Tennessee, to the late Clinton Odell and Lillie Belle Dishman Jackson. He departed this world peacefully at his residence on October 31, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, humility, and dedication to family that will be cherished for generations.

Throughout his life, Johnny demonstrated a work ethic and a commitment to service that was evident in his career as a plumber and electrician with Null's Plumbing & Electric. His soft-spoken demeanor and easy-going nature made him a friend to many, as he approached each task with a humility that was both refreshing and admirable. Johnny was not only skilled in his trade but also an avid hands-on individual, finding immense joy in working on automobiles and engaging in various construction projects.

Johnny’s proudest accomplishments were his three sons: JR (Ashley) Jackson, JD Jackson, and Justin (Melanie) Jackson. Their bond was a source of great pride and joy for him, epitomizing the love he held for his family. He also cherished the time spent with his grandchildren, Emmitt, Sawyer, Lula, Anna Kate, Danny, and Becca Jackson, whose laughter filled his heart and home. He is also survived by his brother, Donnie (Onda) Jackson and and his sisters, Lorene (Dennis) Smith and Maxine Fox.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patricia Null Jackson; and by his half brother and wife, Leroy and Joy Wilmoth.

His family will receive friends Saturday, November 22nd from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. with a memorial service beginning at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery with a meal to follow, also at the church.
