COOKEVILLE CHAPEL - Katherine Sue Stafford Hall, age 95, of Cookeville, TN, passed away on Monday July 27, 2026 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
Service will be held at Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home Cookeville Chapel on Saturday August 1, 2026 at 11am, with visitation from 9am to 11am. Interment will follow in the Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
She was born on May 20, 1931 to the late Johnny Earl and Martha Nannie Stafford of Jackson County, Tennessee and grew up in the Sugar Creek community. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, one infant son, Bobby Dennis and two brothers, Buddy & James Stafford.
She was married for 58 years to the late Robert Jay Hall. She spent most of her life working at Heavy Duty in Gainesboro, Russell Stover in Cookeville and as a homemaker. She loved her family and loved to cook, sew and crochet. In her later years, after suffering a stroke, she colored and wrote encouraging letters to family & friends. She also loved the church. Katherine & Rob were long-time members of the Church of Christ at Holladay.
Katherine is survived by her two sons and their spouses, Danny & Patricia Hall, Philip & Brenda Hall; six grand-children and spouses: Stacey & Josh Wells, Andrew Hall, and Luke & Shawna Hall, Charlotte Hall, Bobby & Amanda Hall, & Stanton Hall; seven great grands: Emma, Addy and Caroline Wells, Kaydee, Lucy, Noah & Thomas Hall; sisters Norma Compton & Marie Langley; plus a host of nieces & nephews.
The family would like to express their thanks to the nurses, CNAs, caregivers, friends and the Holladay church family for the loving care that was shown to Katherine.
