She lived a life marked by devotion to her family and a strong commitment to her faith as a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Kathryn dedicated much of her life to being a loving homemaker, providing warmth and care for her family. In her early years, she also contributed to her community by working as a cafeteria worker at Peterson-Harned-Von Maur and a secretary at a law firm, roles that allowed her to connect with others and serve those around her. Her educational journey took her through Davenport/Central High School in Davenport, Iowa, where she laid the foundation for a life characterized by service and compassion.
She leaves behind her cherished family, including her two sons, Dan (Debbi Foltz) Leckington and Mark (Angela) Leckington, who were a source of pride and joy throughout her life. A great-great-grandchild, Lenora Love, also carries forth her spirit and love.
Kathryn was predeceased by her beloved parents, Chester and Myrtle Puckett Nelson, her husbands, Dwight Leckington and Vernon Millhouse, her son, Ted Leckington, her babies Lueanne Carol Leckington and Gerald Allan Leckington and her siblings, Arnold Steele, Bill McGrath and Sarah McGrath. Each of these individuals held a special place in her heart, and their memories will continue to be cherished by all who knew her.
Kathryn's interests included knitting, a craft through which she expressed her creativity and love, and music, which filled her home with joy and connection. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering faith will be fondly remembered by her family and those whose lives she touched.
