Kathy Montgomery Taylor

Funeral Services for Kathy Montgomery Taylor, age 42 of will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 17, 2011 at Dyer Funeral Home with burial to follow in the West Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, June 16, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Kathy passed away on Tuesday evening, June 14, 2011 at her home peacefully and surrounded by her family. She was born July 31, 1968 in Detroit MI to James O. Montgomery and Joyce Ellen Collier Montgomery. She and her family attended Taylors Seminary Freewill Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher as well as Missions Coordinator and loved working with the children in Vacation Bible School. Kathy was a very active lady who enjoyed the outdoors, riding motorcycles with her husband John, and of course Tennessee Football. Mrs. Taylor is survived by her husband John, two sons Adam Taylor who is serving our country in the United States Air Force and Dustin Taylor of Cookeville and one grandson Eric Taylor. She is also survived by her parents, one sister Carolyn (Quinland) Guffey of Monterey, and two brothers, Melvin 'Buck' Montgomery of Cookeville and Marvin (Kim) Montgomery of Baxter. Kathy is also survived by four nieces Marrie Beth Montgomery, Samantha Redmon, Seanaree McBroom and Jennifer Montgomery and one nephew Tracey McDonald. Kathy is preceded in death by her grandparents and one brother Jimmy Montgomery Adam and Dusty Taylor Jeff Stafford, Brad Bilbrey, Andy Redmon and Tracey McDonald will serve as pallbearers. Bro. Jerry Buckner will be conducting the services.
