Kennie White

Kennie Ray White, age 83, of Cookeville, TN passed away surrounded by family on November 26, 2021. He was born April 2, 1938, in Delbarton, WV to John Freelan White and Vicie Catherine (Justice) White. As a Ford Motor Company retiree, Kennie loved mechanics and enjoyed working on small engines, lawnmowers, and vehicles. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his family. Kennie is survived by his wife, Pearlie Jeanette (Jones) White; daughters, Brenda (Mike) Rettig of Napoleon, OH and Kimberly White of Cookeville, TN; sons, Freelan (Shawn) White of Plymouth, MI, Darrell (Allison) White of Cookeville, TN, and Jeremy (Elizabeth) Harshman-White of Las Vegas, NV; 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; and sisters, Dorothy Cornett of Willis, MI and Freda LaPlant of Syracuse, NY. Kennie was preceded in death by his father, John White, in 1993; mother, Vicie White, in 2003; sisters, Merlene White and Earlene Tucker; brothers, Glen Dale White, Delano White, and Johnny White; and daughter, Patricia Harshman. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 from 1:00pm until 3:00pm with a 3:00pm service at Hooper Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home, 59 N. Jefferson Ave, Cookeville, TN 38501, where Pastor Steve Tiebout will officiate. Burial will follow in Cookeville City Cemetery. Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
