COOKEVILLE CHAPEL-Mr. Kenny Edward Tays, a beloved husband, son, father, grandfather, brother and lifelong friend, passed away suddenly on February 20, 2025, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center, leaving a profound void in the hearts of many. Born on September 3, 1967, in Cookeville, TN, Kenny embraced life with enthusiasm and a spirit of determination that inspired all who knew him.
Kenny dedicated his career as a forklift mechanic, spending his last four years at Toyota Midsouth Material Handling, where he was known for his unwavering hard work and support. Colleagues and customers alike appreciated his commitment to excellence in his craft. A true car enthusiast, particularly fond of Jeeps and Harley Davidsons, Kenny and his wife Susan would spend time looking for jeeps to restore and riding his Harley and going on Cruises with family. Kenny had the biggest soft spot for his cats, Frank and Bean. He spoiled them like no other. He loved his Family and pets. Kenny enjoyed spending time with his family outdoors. He was tremendously proud of his family and was always their number 1 fan for all of their sports and other activities.
A 1985 graduate of Cookeville High School, Kenny carried with him not just practical skills but an incredible sense of humor. His mischievous nature shone through as a prankster, always ready with a joke or a kind-hearted ribbing that would light up the room and bring a smile to those around him.
