COOKEVILLE CHAPEL - Kent C Frisbee, 78, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 7, 2026, in Houston, Texas while away on a work contract. He had been in good health, and his death came as a shock to those who knew and loved him.

Kent was born on July 29, 1947, in Schenectady, New York to Alice Mericle and Kent G Frisbee. He graduated from Western Kentucky University and had a passion for working in Human Resources at various hospitals across the country where he was able to connect and form strong bonds with many people.

In 2001, he married his wife, Linda Frisbee, and together they raised three children in Cookeville, Tennessee. Kent enjoyed Nascar, college ball - especially the UK Wildcats, the New York Yankees, playing guitar, and eating good food. His last weekend was spent with his son in Austin, Texas at a Nascar race.

He had his pilot's license and loved going to air shows and traveling with his family. He was also a deacon at First Baptist Church and was an active member in the community with the Chinese Church community and as co-owner of Crepe and Creme.

Most of all he was known for his endless love and dedication to his family, and he loved the Lord. He was known for his bright and outgoing personality, willingness to help, and his love for talking with everyone.

Kent is survived by his wife, Linda Frisbee; his children, John, Emily and Angie; his sister and brother-in-law, Marcia and Charley Carlton; his brother and sister-in-law, Warren and Robin Earles; and his dogs, Happy and Momo.

A funeral service will be held at 1pm at the Cookeville First Baptist Church on Friday, March 20, 2026. The family will receive friends 11am - 1pm. Interment will follow at Cookeville City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the First Baptist Church Remodeling Project.
