Baxter

Leah Wynn Oatsvall passed away peacefully at her residence on August 29, 2025, at the age of 55. Born on October 5, 1969, in Jackson, Tennessee, Leah touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A graduate of Adamsville High School, Leah furthered her education by earning a bachelor's degree from Memphis State University. Her professional journey included significant roles as a project manager, a devoted homemaker, and a property manager for her family's rental properties in Fort Morgan, Alabama. She found her happy place at the beach. She also had a keen eye for real estate, flipping houses with her husband. Yet, her proudest accomplishment was being a fully devoted wife and mother. Leah’s selflessness and charitable nature were evident in everything she did.

Over the past eleven years, Leah became an integral part of the Cedar Hill Baptist Church community in Baxter. Her warmth and kindness, coupled with her passion for service, made her a beloved figure among her fellow congregants.

Leah is survived by her parents, Larry and Robbie Nichols Majors; her husband of 33 years, Jon Kevin Oatsvall; daughter, Jill Oatsvall; son, Jim Oatsvall; brother, Eric Majors and sister-in-law, Becki Majors; mother-in-law Jackie Oatsvall; brother and sister-in-law, Tim and Nancy Oatsvall; sister-in-law, Jan Dedmon; brother and sister-in-law, Greg and Mary Beth Oatsvall; who will forever treasure the memories shared with her.

Leah was strong, humble, intelligent, and full of joy. Her absence will be deeply felt by her family and friends, whose lives she enriched with her compassion and kindness.

Her family will receive friends Tuesday, September 2, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Cookeville Chapel of Hooper, Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home, located at 59 N Jefferson Avenue, Cookeville, TN. A private graveside service will follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to be made to the charity of your choice or to cancer research.
