Lester Williams

Mr. Lester Williams, 70, of Cookeville, died suddenly September 12, 2011 in the Emergency Room at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. No services are planned at this time. Mr. Williams was born September 13, 1940 in Perry County, KY to the late Orville and Luverna Williams. He was a retired heavy equipment operator for Ohio Engineers in Dayton, OH. Following retirement he moved to Cookeville and was formerly employed at the Putnam County Recycling Center. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Luther Williams; sister, Pauline Egen; and son, Danny Williams. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Sonja Vest Williams of Cookeville; four sons, Timothy Williams, Mike Spencer, Don Spencer, Greg Spencer and his partner Paula Templeton; daughter, Debbie Williams; brother, Leonard Williams; two sisters, Maxine Hix and Helen Sue Gent; three grandchildren, Britnay Spencer, Saressa Beth Spencer and Jayden Stevenson.
