Lisa Ellen Cox

DYER CHAPEL-Lisa Ellen Owen Cox, age 63, passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, Tennessee. She was born on October 6, 1962, in Crossville, Tennessee.

She was a 1981 graduate of Putnam County Senior High School. She was a caregiver.

Lisa will be remembered for the love she gave so freely to those around her. She loved spending time with family and friends, and she especially cherished her grandchildren. The time she shared with them brought joy to her life and created lasting memories for those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her children, Travis Walker, Joshua Owen, and Amie Sherrece Owen all of Cookeville. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Kinlee Walker, Laney Owen, Tayden Walker, and Wesley Owen, who were a special source of happiness in her life.

Lisa is also survived by her brothers, Danny Owen and special sister-in-law Regina Owen, Roy Hamm, Ray Smallwood, Timmy Smallwood, and Troy Smallwood; and by her sisters, Brenda Scott and Mary Barnes; special niece, Kristin Armstrong and her family; and other nieces, nephews and cousins. She also leaves behind many family members and friends who will hold her memory close and remember her with love.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Wilson Owen, and her mother, Eula Elise Johnson Owen.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation with the family on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Dyer Chapel, 798 South Willow Avenue, Cookeville, Tennessee 38501. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Dyer Chapel. Bro. Danny Owen will officiate.

Lisa will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
