Lois Harp

Virginia Lois Harp, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2024, at Bethesda Health Care. She was born on November 26, 1946 to the late Jesse Howard Flatt and Oval Mae Flatt.


A lifelong resident of Putnam County, Lois was the wife of Bobby Harp, with whom she shared 58 years of marriage. She was the mother of Larry (Gina) Harp, grandmother of Hunter (Mindy) Harp and great-grandmother of Sutton Avery Harp, sister of Doris (the late Audrey) Long and Judy Flatt (Robert Lakota) Longo.


She was a teacher's assistant at Algood Elementary School for 35 years. Her hobbies included reading and quilting. She was also a very talented artist from an early age. She created many beautiful works of art.


Funeral Services for Mrs. Harp will be Monday, March 25, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. from the Cookeville chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with Bro. Don Blackwell officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 4-7pm, and again Monday from 11am until time of services at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.


Pallbearers will be family and friends.
