BAXTER-Funeral services for Lois Carol Lewis, 69, of Buffalo Valley will be Thursday, November 16 at 11 AM from the Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Maxwell Cemetery South. Pastor Steve Warren will officiate. Mrs. Lewis died suddenly Saturday Morning, November 11, 2017 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born January 23, 1948 in Putnam County to the late Horace Vestal and Lillie Jane Rodgers Maxwell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters Mary Burgess and Margaret Crouch, brothers James Harold Maxwell, Royce Maxwell and Talmadge Maxwell. She was a retired Teacher's Aide with Baxter Elementary School with 41 years of service. She was a very active member of Faith Chapel Church in Baxter. She was currently serving as Vice-President on the Buffalo Valley Community Center Board. Survivors include husband of 53 years (married June 5, 1964) Billy Robert Lewis , daughter and son-in-law Pam and Richard Bedgood, grandson Tyler Bedgood all of Buffalo Valley, sister Nellie Parker of Livonia, Mi, brother and sister-in-law Bobby and Louise Maxwell of Bellville, Mi, several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Wednesday from 4 to 8 and after 9 AM Thursday at the funeral home. Active Pallbearers will be Mike Randolph, Caleb Hanna, Josh Hanna, Kevin Young, Tom Austin, Stevie Warren and Todd Hollman.
