Funeral Services for Lou Nell Allison, age 79, of Baxter will be held Sunday, November 13, 2011, 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Allison Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening, November 12, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Mrs. Allison passed away Friday morning, November 11, 2011 at Bethesda Health Care Center of Cookeville. She was born October 8, 1932 in Baxter TN to the late Dave Thomas and Ova Thomas. Lou Nell was a homemaker and was retired from Acme Boot Company as an inspector. She was a member of the Bussell Church of Christ in Baxter and loved her church family. Lou Nell is survived by her children; Roxanne (husband Jerry) Carmack of Livingston, Herbert Allison (wife Patsy) of Baxter and Gary Allison (wife Vicki) of Carthage. She is also survived by one sister, Alice (husband Kenneth) Roberts of Baxter; six grandchildren, William Jesse and Allison Carmack, Johnnie V. and James David Allison, Bridget Goff and Rhiannon Allison, two step-grandchildren Brian Bennett and Katie Bennett as well as eight great grandchildren. Mrs. Allison is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, Ralph (Eloise) Ferguson, Hollis Allison, Burchie Allison, Jim Allison, Margaret Maxwell, Nell Hargis and Dimple (Carlos) Howell as well as a niece Kendra Roberts. In addition to her parents, Lou Nell was preceded in death by her husband Johnnie V. Allison, a son Darrell Allison, a grandson Stacy Allison, one sister Betty Jo Spears, brothers-in-law Wallace Allison, William Herbert and his wife Ann, Newt Spears, Ralph Maxwell, Harold Davis and his wife Marie, and Nathan Hargis and a niece Sharon Spears Borden. Bro. Denton Ramsey and Bro. Stanley Gantt will officiate at the services.
