Margaret Russell

Funeral services for Margaret Miranda Russell, age 85 of Cookeville, were held at 11 a.m. Saturday May 8 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. Pastor Tim Miles officiated. Interment followed at Howard Cemetery. Her family received friends Friday from 5 - 8 p.m. and again Saturday from 9 a.m. until service time. Margaret passed away Wednesday May 5, 2021 at NHC of Cookeville. She was born January 14, 1936 in Cookeville to the late Henry Winters Howard and Zeta Ann Randolph Howard. Margaret was retired from Wilson Sporting Goods. She is survived by two sons, Shane (Paula) Allison of Cookeville, Olen Allison of Baxter; step daughter, Christy (Darryl) Bradley of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Dee (Misty) Allison, Sunshine, Justin, Jasper, Shiann Allison, Mindy Bumbalough, Levi Flatt, Christian Horne, and Brett Jones; great grandchildren, Devin and Daniel Allison, Latyra Bumbalough, and Latavius Gist. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James "Rusty" Russell; sons, Ovalin Dee Allison and Billy Bird Allison; brothers, Raymond, Jasper, and Herman Howard; sisters, Louise and Lorene Howard. Margaret's family expresses their appreciation to the Caris hospice nurses and NHC nurses. Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
