Mary Asafiri

Mrs. Mary Frances Asafiri, age 83, of Cookeville, passed away Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Bethesda Health Care Center in Cookeville. Memorial services for Mrs. Asafiri will be held at a later date. She was born, Francis June Chambers, April 15, 1933 in Carroll County, TN to the late Elrod and Vera Pinkston Chambers. She was a bus driver at the Nashville Airport up until 2012 In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Asafiri; several brothers and sisters. She is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie (Vanta) Greenwood, Don Allison, all of Cookeville; Floyd(Cathy) Durham of Claremore, OK, and Johnny Paseur of California; daughter, Nina St. John of Columbia; brother, Harold Ray Mathis of Huntingdon, TN; sister, Billie Verthein of Detroit, MI; Special X-Daughter-in-law Machelle Warta; grandchildren, Jennifer St John, Steven St John, Daniel St John, Jeremy Durham, Joshua Durham, Dustin Keyes, Jeremy Greenwood, Adam Harris, Brandon Harris, Daniel Harris, Cali Harris, Joshua Greenwood, Jacob Greenwood; step granddaughter Natasha Schumacher; great-grandchildren, Jaden, Preston, Logan, Cody, Daylon, Paige, Cole, Marybeth, Brittany, Amanda, Aiden, Mahayla, Adisyn, Ivan, Arianna, Marabella: step great grandchildren, Brenna, Reagan, and Wyatt; great-great grandchildren, Asher, Gunner and Zoey Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
