Mary Dale Owen

Celebration of Life for Mrs. Mary Dale Owen, age 71, of Cookeville, will be held at 4pm Friday, October 31 at Collegeside Church of Christ with Ministers Joe Roberts and Chip Pugh officiating. The family will receive friends, Friday from 2-4pm at the church. Mrs. Owen died Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at her home. She was born April 18, 1943 in Charleston, SC to the late Harold and Clara McDonell. Mrs. Owen was a member of Collegeside Church of Christ. She retired as an accomplished Managing Director with Florida Title in Ocala, FL, and was most proud of the deep relationships through Christ she developed at work and within her community. After retirement, she and her husband moved to Georgia and later to Cookeville to be near their grandchildren. She was a proud grandmother, often caring for and always impacting her grandchildren and those around her within the community. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Joe Owen (whom she married November 26, 1960 in Ocala); two sons and daughters-in-law, Dane and Tammie Owen of Cookeville, Ben and Bonnie Owen of Warwick, RI, and Michelle Owen of Dayton, OH.; two brothers and sister-in-law, Hal and Shirley McDonell, and Art McDonell; sister and brother-in-law, Dian and Earl Supernalt all of Ocala, FL; six grandchildren, Stockton, Brock, Blake, Taylor Anne, Gabriella, and Isabella Owen.
