Mary Jeanne Dunn

COOKEVILLE CHAPEL-Mary Jeanne Dunn, 87, of Cookeville, TN, went to be with Jesus and entered into her Heavenly Home on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Mary Jeanne was born in Burney, IN on April 1, 1938 to John and Sylvia McClintic. She graduated from Burney High School in 1956. She married her High School sweetheart James A. Dunn on August 11, 1957. Jim and Mary Jeanne moved to Cookeville in 1967 from Columbus, IN. They had the opportunity to live in Quimper, France with Jim’s work from 1986 to 1987. She had a love for travel which took her to many countries where she explored and submersed herself into their local cultures. She and Jim owned and operated the Cookeville Antique Mall for many years. Mary Jeanne served as President for the local chapter of Women’s Aglow Fellowships, and loved to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with whomever she met.

Mary Jeanne is survived by sons, Jeff (Sandy) Dunn and Randy (Karen) Dunn of Cookeville; daughter Jennifer (Bruce) Barlow of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; grandchildren, Tyler (Megan) Barlow, Jared (Lindsey) Dunn, Lindsey Lawson, Hannah (Ben) Dooley, and Hope (Breyer) Taylor, and great-grandchildren Maci, Annabelle, and Jude Dunn; Lexi Barden and Luna Lawson; Asher and William Dooley. She is also survived by her sisters Eileen Alexander, Virginia Ashley, and Holly Studler.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper, Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery. Pastors Mark Gaw and Mark Studler will officiate.

Her family will receive friends Saturday from 2:30 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
