Matthew Elton Norris

DYER CHAPEL- Matthew "MATT" Elton Norris, 45 of Baxter was born May 19, 1980 in Cookeville and died Saturday, January 17, 2026 at Cookeville Regiuonal Medical Center following a lengthy illness.

Matt attended Upperman High School in Baxter and later attended a culinary school in Kentucky. He was the owner-operator of Upper Cumberland Disposal Service.

Matt was an outdoorsman and enjoyed camping and spending time with family and friends and his companion and pet dog, Molly. He was an excellent chef and enjoyed preparing meals.

Survivors include mother, Karen Carta Norris; sister, Melissa Henley; nieces, Cam Norris and Lilly Norris all of Baxter.

Matt was preceded in death by his father, Billy Elton Norris.

No services are planned.
