Michael John Delape

A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial for Michael John Delape Jr., age 54, of Cookeville, will be held Wednesday, May 3, at 1 p.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Crest Lawn Cemetery. His family will receive friends Wednesday from 11 a.m. until service time at the church. Mr. Delape passed away suddenly Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born in June 23, 1962 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Michael John Michael Delape Sr. and Imogene Frances O’Connor Delape of Cookeville. In addition to his mother, he is survived by include two sons, Michael and Daniel Delape of Cookeville; a sister, Veronica Wailes of Lebanon; and two brothers, Kim (wife Anita) Delape of Monterey and Darren Delape of Cookeville and four grandchildren. Michael leaves behind a very close friend, Michelle Smith of Cookeville. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Father Chad Puthoff will officiate the services.
