COOKEVILLE CHAPEL - Nancy Ann Bailey, age 77, passed away peacefully on Saturday April 18, 2026, at Life Care Center of Sparta, Tennessee, with her family by her side. She is now with God, reunited with her beloved husband and her parents.
Nancy was born on November 14, 1948 in Freeport, Illinois to her late parents, Robert & Dorothy Bonnet and was raised on the family farm in Lena, Illinois. She was the oldest of five siblings. She later attended and graduated from the Rockford Business College, where she met her husband Arnie. On November 18, 1967 they were married. They shared many wonderful years together until Arnie’s passing on November 16, 2018.
Nancy was a strong and resilient woman who faced numerous medical challenges throughout her life, including being the caregiver to Arnie during his battel with cancer. Through it all, she remained positive and courageous until the very end.
One of Nancy’s greatest joys was the time she shared with her husband, within the Corvette racing community. Together they traveled to racetracks across the country, chasing points, organizing events and forming lifelong friendships. The memories they created and the bonds they built through the Corvette club will be treasured forever by the family.
Nancy is survived by her sons, Michael (Stacie) Bailey and Stephen (Carolina) Bailey; her grandchildren, Aidan Bailey & Ellarie Bailey. Her Siblings, Kathy (Eldon) Watson-Janssen, Dave (Sara) Bonnet, Dan (Cindy) Bonnet, Ed (Lesley) Bonnet, along with many nieces, nephews, grandniece and grandnephews.
