Nancy Chambers

COOKEVILLE CHAPEL - Nancy Chambers, age 71 of Algood, passed away peacefully on Tuesday June 9, 2026, at her residence.

Nancy was born on June 23, 1954, in Jamestown, Tennessee, to the late S. T. Whited and Audrey Woods Whited Yakusik.

She was known for her straightforward nature, and had a remarkable ability to "tell it like it was." Nancy formerly worked at Stroud's Barbecue. She was deeply involved in her faith as a member of the Cookeville Baptist Temple.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Jerry Chambers; her son, Robert Gibson; her sister, Sherry Byrd; and her granddaughter, Tiffany Gibson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Shirley Fowler and Lowell Whited.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday June 13 at Upchurch Cemetery in Pall Mall, TN.
