Opal Phillips

Funeral services for Opal Pearl Beaty Phillips, age 90 of Livingston, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday March 14 at Horner Funeral Home in Monterey. Bro. Tim Beaty will officiate. Interment will follow at Wilson Cemetery.

Her family will receive friends Monday from 5 - 8 p.m. and again Tuesday from 10 a.m. until service time.

Opal passed away Friday March 10, 2023 at her home.

She was born December 12, 1932 in Putnam County, TN to the late Thurman Beaty and Ollie Sims Beaty.

She is survived by her sons, Dan (Michelyn) Phillips, Duane (Laura) Phillips, and Rick (Michelle) Phillips all of Livingston; daughter, Janet (Pete) Thompson of Livingston; sister, Delsie Buckner of Dunkirk, IN; grandchildren, Chris Thompson, Sonja (Herb) Reynolds, Brad Thompson, Carrie (Jack) Stafford, Matt (Melissa) Phillips, Megan (Chad) Burks, and Travis Phillips; great grandchildren, Nick Thompson, Marshall Carter, Brandon Thompson, Hunter Randolph, Dyllan Carter, Austin Thompson, Levi Thompson, Nova Burks, Bailey Burks, Pierson Burks, Ethan Phillips, Kora Phillips, and Noah Phillips; and a host of great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Phillips; son, David Phillips; sisters, Edith Storey, Mabel McCowan, and Elsie Lea; and brothers, Jay Beaty and Dewey Beaty.
