COOKEVILLE CHAPEL - Patricia Mary Larkin, born on July 3, 1934, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, peacefully passed away at her residence in Cookeville, Tennessee, on Tuesday evening November 4, 2025. She was a beloved member of her community, admired for her vibrant spirit and the indelible mark she left on the hearts of all who knew her. Patty was a true embodiment of a Proverbs 31 woman-filled with grace, dignity, and wisdom. Known for her impeccable sense of style, she was often described by friends as an absolute legendary person.
In her earlier years, Patricia served her country with pride during a brief yet honorable stint in the United States Navy during the Korean War era. This period of service highlighted her commitment not only to her nation but also to the values of loyalty and sacrifice.
Patty cherished her role as a matriarch, dedicating herself wholeheartedly to her family. She and her husband, Richard ( Moon) Larkin, shared a passion for hosting gatherings, bringing together friends and family around the warmth of their home. Their love for entertaining created rich memories, filled with laughter and joy.
She leaves behind her loving family, including her son Bob Sotis and his wife Julie, her daughter Deborah Steffler, and an adoring lineage of grandchildren: Lane Steffler, Lauren Winburn and her husband Sean, Dr. Melody Presley and her husband Nathan, and Kelsi Van Horn and her husband Cole. In addition to her grandchildren, Patricia took great delight in her great-grandchildren-Simon and Isaac Presley, Alex and Ian Powell, and Millie and Larkin Jude Van Horn, who brought her immense joy and pride. She is also blessed with many nephews and nieces who still call her their favorite aunt.
Patricia is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard (Moon) Larkin and 11 brothers and sisters.
A Funeral Mass will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday November 12 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Visitation for friends and family will be from 12 p.m. - 1 p.m. at the church.
Burial will be at Arlington Memorial Cemetery in Arlington Va. at a later date.

Patricia Mary Larkin's legacy of kindness, generosity, and love will live on in the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
